Exhibition “Aquart” by Endre Penovác

Endre Penovác's exhibition, titled AquArt, offers a selection of 12 years' worth of watercolors in the exhibition hall of the Backa Topola Municipal Museum. Viewers can immerse themselves in the world of Penovác's most emblematic figures.

Marina Radaković, Director of the Backa Topola Municipal Museum, stated: "There are 28 paintings on display, and the audience will see works from several phases and periods. The famous cats make an appearance, as well as the polka dot period, moments captured from everyday life, and as we look around, the famous crows and roosters."

Endre Penovác has found his mode of expression in watercolor technique. As he says, he never searches for a theme; his environment provides plenty of inspiration.

Endre Penovác: "Colors or ink run on wet surfaces and create such wonderful effects that are unrepeatable, which fits perfectly with my worldview. As the paper dries, the theme can be increasingly concretized, which is just right because it covers the range I want to present, from the accidental to the recognizable, from the spontaneous to the rational, from the abstract to the concrete, all contained in a single image."

The exhibition can be viewed until October 4 in the exhibition hall of the Topolya Municipal Museum.
